Our Story
A Vision That Changed Psychiatry
Les Toises was founded in 2009 in Lausanne, Switzerland, by Dr. Franziska Gamma M.Sc., a psychiatrist with a rare conviction: that outpatient mental health care could be both clinically rigorous and genuinely human.
At a time when Swiss psychiatry was largely dominated by institutional care, Dr. Gamma pioneered a new model: private, outpatient, multidisciplinary and deeply personalised. That model proved transformative. What began as a single clinic in Lausanne became Switzerland's largest network of private outpatient psychiatric and psychotherapy facilities, spanning eight establishments across the country.
Today, Les Toises is recognised as a standard-setter in European mental healthcare — a centre of expertise that combines the precision of Swiss clinical tradition with warmth, accessibility and a profound respect for each patient's individual journey.
The expansion to the UAE is the next chapter of that journey — bringing Switzerland's most trusted psychiatric expertise to one of the world's most vibrant and internationally diverse cities.
