Dr. Nizar Hojaili is a UK-trained Consultant Psychiatrist (MRCPsych) who works with children, adolescents and adults across a broad range of psychiatric and emotional difficulties. His practice spans neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma-related difficulties, eating disorders, mood disorders including depression and bipolar affective disorder, psychotic disorders and personality disorders.

Dr. Hojaili places strong emphasis on building an excellent rapport with his patients, grounded in thorough psychoeducation, so that they understand their diagnosis and the options available to them. He actively involves patients in decisions about their own management and treatment, and works closely with psychologists, paediatricians and other specialists involved in a patient’s care to achieve the best possible outcome. A first appointment centres on a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, understanding your history and current concerns, and agreeing together on a treatment plan.

He completed all of his postgraduate psychiatric training in the West Midlands Deanery in the United Kingdom, and has been formally involved throughout his career in teaching, assessing and examining medical students, nursing staff and junior doctors in psychiatry. He also lectures regularly to both medical audiences and the general public to raise awareness of mental health disorders. He consults in English, Arabic and French.
