Dr. Nizar Hojaili is a UK-trained General Adult Psychiatrist (MRCPsych) with additional expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. His practice spans neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD and autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma-related difficulties, eating disorders, mood disorders including depression and bipolar affective disorder, psychotic disorders and personality disorders.

Dr. Hojaili places strong emphasis on building an excellent rapport with his patients, grounded in thorough psychoeducation, so that they understand their diagnosis and the options available to them. He actively involves patients in decisions about their own management and treatment, and works closely with psychologists, paediatricians and other specialists involved in a patient’s care to achieve the best possible outcome. A first appointment centres on a comprehensive diagnostic assessment, understanding your history and current concerns, and agreeing together on a treatment plan.

His undergraduate education took him to Canada and the Netherlands Antilles, and he completed all of his postgraduate training in the United Kingdom at the West Midlands Deanery — in the University of Warwick affiliated teaching hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire — where his residency allowed him to develop comprehensive assessment and management skills across a large range of psychiatric disorders. He was elected a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2012 and obtained his Certificate of Completion of Training in General Psychiatry in early 2016, after which he spent nearly two years working exclusively in a community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Coventry.

He practised as a consultant psychiatrist receiving both adult and child and adolescent patients in the United Kingdom before relocating to Lebanon in the summer of 2018, where he worked in his own private clinic and in two leading general hospitals. In April 2021 he moved to Dubai as a full-time consultant to establish the psychiatry department at Clemenceau Medical Center Hospital, and he joined Les Toises in July 2026.

Throughout his career Dr. Hojaili has been actively and formally involved in teaching, assessing and examining medical students, nursing staff and junior doctors in psychiatry. He gives regular lectures to both medical audiences and the general public, and appears as a guest on television programmes and podcasts to raise awareness of mental health disorders. He consults in English, Arabic and French.
